Daniel RA Cox

Dr Daniel Cox is an emerging surgeon-scientist and clinical academic. His clinical interests are in liver transplantation and liver/pancreas cancer surgery. His research focusses on harnessing novel circulating biomarkers to bring personalisation and further precision to care in transplantation and surgical oncology. His PhD has investigated the use of tissue-specific methylation patterns in cell-free DNA; translating their use into biomarkers for liver disease. He is a member of the Australasian Gastro-Intestinal Cancer Trials Group (AGITG) Translation Research Committee, the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA) and the Section of Academic Surgery, Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
